I listed most of my fish in the "how big is your tank" topic, but I'd like to say that my primary interests are cichlids and livebearers. My smallest adult cichlid is a female Neolamprologus multifasciatus (1") and my largest adult cichlid right now is a male Crenicichla saxatilis (~8"). Not in the same tank of course.

Do you breed/have liverbearers? I'm getting ready to start breeding Guppies!

Guppies, endlers, Gambusia holbrooki and metallics. The Gambusia haven't bred yet, but it's just a matter of time. For me it's just a hobby, not a business. I released my mettalic trio into my bathtub pond, so I'm not even sure if they're still active. They'll take over the guppies (much faster/aggressive). I'll take a head count when I break the tub down in early October.
I'm the treasurer of the OKCAA so I'm pretty involved in the hobby. Breeding keeps it interesting. This Saturday we're doing a combined meeting with the Sooner Fancy Guppy Association up in Edmond.
Breeding guppies will be the easiest spawn you'll ever have. Just make sure you have at least 2 or 3 females for every male, because they will harass the females constantly. I use a lot of floating plants like hornwort and duckweed in my tanks to give the fry hiding places. Guppies will eat their own babies so if you want to maximize the fry survival you'll want some breeder boxes (floating boxes to seperate the moms before they release fry).
Filtration is another area you'll want to be careful with. Power filters can suck in babies, so I use sponge filters when I want to breed fish. Or you can wrap power filter intakes with a media bag. That will slow them down enough to keep it safe for most fry.

Your kidding me?? I'm on the OKCAA website right now! I'm wanting to join but I'm not in the OKC area. I live in Muskogee but there's not any fish anything here. We only have 2 petstores and one sells his fish floating on top of the water

If you can get up to Edmond this weekend the topic is going to be livebearers and the new host is a big time guppy breeder. It was supposed to be at my house in Mustang, but we decided a combined SFGA/OKCAA meeting was too good to pass up. The details of what goes on in our club are in our Yahoo group. You don't have to be a member of OKCAA to participate in the group. I'm the one that approves group membership so it doesn't take too long to get approved, I'm on everyday.

Okay, you're good to go now. You might want to select digest format, we (I) can get pretty yakky sometimes. I have to keep track of what's going on since I'm the moderator, so I get individual messages.

Fish we currently have: 30 gal tank 1 common pleco (12 inches) 1 golden snail (little bigger than a golf ball) 2 Tiger Oscars (5 inches) These 2 are very timid and very affectionate. They are never more than 3 inches away from each other except to feed. I'm hoping they are a mating pair but time will tell 10 gal Guppy tank 1 big blue betta (Chula, our first ever fish) 2 fan tail fancy guppies males (one orange and one yellow snake pattern) 1 moscow blue male 1 lyre tail male (pale blue with dark blue spots) 1 moscow blue female 5 fan tail females 1 albino corrie We are hoping to breed them but so far they are stubbornly refusing to have any fun! We figure the fry we don't keep or give away will make for good Oscar food. 1 gallon sick tank Melanochromis auratus Cichlid female - extremely aggressive. She killed off the other male and female auratus we had when she was still half their size. She could get in to any hidey hole and just terrorized them to bits. We are currently looking for a home for her in a solo tank or one where she is considerable smaller than the others. Fish we have had in the past: 2 Blue Gouramis 2 Flame Gouramis 2 Dwarf Gouramis 2 Melanochromis auratus Cichlids 3 Kenyi Cichlids 1 ghost shrimp
