Hey, is it possible to use 100% pure sea salt from health food stores for mollies in the tank or does it have to be a special kind of mix...thanx and will most other fish tolerate it..i.e neons, corys, barbs, platys..

Most of the time I've just heard of ppl using aquarium salt. You should be able to get it from your lfs or a wal-mart if you have one in town.

Hi all!!
Hadn't been over here in a while; but had a little time this morn.
Most salts (without Iodine/ non-iodized) are OK; BUT... there are many fish which to NOT tolerate much at all.
So be careful, and don't overdo..... salts will deposit in the water and can accumulate if you're not careful.
Some fish to be careful with are: cory cats, loaches and some of your "scaleless" types.
