Ok just thought that I'd get some information out of ya'll I'm wanting to start an online fish store place. I got ahold of Tetra to be in their program for retailers. I'm also wanting to start breeding easy fish. (Livebearers mostly) And start to sell them on my site as well. Can anybody give me any advice with this? Do I need like a permit or anything to sell stuff on the net? I wasn't sure is anybody knew anything about this kind of stuff, so I thought that I would ask. Any information would be of great help. Thanks to anyone if they reply!

Heather.... There's plenty to cover (as I run both a regular, large LFS in East Tenn; AND an online store as well). Main two things to think about is: Dyr goods/products: some tough competition from big buyers who get big discounts on "bread-and-butter" stuff from manufacturers! (BigAl's, Foster & Smith, etc.) You can't even buy it for what they sell it for! Livestock: Hard to do, unless you're experienced with how to ship: proper bagging, oxygen, shipping containers, etc. Then there's support items like setting up C/C accts, paypal, etc. ....shipping accts like Fedex, USPS or Airlines? Then marketing: noone will buy much unless they've heard of you or you have some kind of "track record". So..... Not saying you shouldn't try..... cause there's nothing wrong with that. Just that there is more to it.... than you may really be ready to "tackle". If you want additional info: e-mail me or visit my site/store: www.fishstoretn.com Regards Bernie
